How to look like you haven''t just rolled out of bed.

Hey Guys!

How are you?

I've just entered my first week of the two weeks I have of school holidays before I start grade 12!
It's all extremely exciting but there is one thing little problem I have...
After a long night of studying or revising I usually wake up... Lets just say, it isn't something you would want to see. So if you are similar to me and your in high school, on a budget and struggling to look AWAKE, here are a few of my own personal make-up 'Look Awake' products.

Before I get into makeup I just wanted to add a little sidenote. 'Please, PLEASE PLEASE!! Always cleanse, tone, exfoliate and moisturiser. Also, never, ever forget to make sure you have an SPF, especially if you live in Australia like I do and it is beginning to get extremely warm as we head into summer. (let me know if you want a skincare post????)

Tag, you're it!

Hey guys!
Wow, fancy me actually posting when I promise to...

This week I have got anything really beauty related as I found that when I was absent from m blog I was tagged. But, I have a problem I can not find who tagged me or where I tagged, BUT I have the questions. If YOU are the one that tagged me, please let me know as I am extremely sorry!!!!

So, let us get started?

1. What inspired you to start your blog?
I was inspired by various YouTubers/Vloggers like Tanya Burr, Vivianna Does Makeup, Spinkle of Glitter and Zoella.

2. What is your ultimate dream holiday, and why?
I would love to go to so many places but I don't think I could ever afford it. If I had the opportunity I would definitely do the whole 'backpack around Europe' thing ad I would love to visit Greece!

3. What's your reaction to receiving this award?
Well, I didn't even know that this was an award until I read the question and now I am super intrigued to find out where I was tagged!!! Thank-you immensely to the person who chose me for the award, you are truly an mazing person and I am so honoured and thankful!

4. Favourite beaut guru?
Oh wow! I actually can not decide! If I had to choose my top THREE only relating to beauty things it would have to be Tanya Burr, Zoella and I LOVE Pixiwoo!

5. What are your interests other than beauty?
I don't really have any other interests as passionate as makeup but I do love reading, watching movies, tumblr, youtube (not jus beauty, I actually really love the funny youtubers) and I must say I am passionate in getting into University!

6. What would you like to see your blog do in the future?
In a dream world I would love my blog to be a place where everyone is nice to each others and no one is judgemental! Like a little community! If I ever had the time and confidence (and expertise) I would definitely try Youtube!

7. What do you do as a career or would like to in the future?
Well I am starting grade 12 (last year of school) in less than a month and am constantly pressurised to choose a career. All though I don't really see how 16 or 17 year olds could ever know exactly what they want to do, when and how. Although I have a feeling I would try to get into University to do a Primary teaching course. (K-6. 5years - 12) Oh, and I would love to do a few make-up and beauty course along the way!

8. What I our best achievement?
To be completely honest, I don't really have something that significant at my age, being only 16 the only things that I have really achieved is getting my L's and achieving/completing year 10 successfully. If I was asked this exact question in a year and a few months I would have some pretty amazing things o write.

9. Who inspires you most?
Nobody in particular, I am the type of person that feels gross and lazy if I sit for too long and I have to do something constructive. Whenever I see people who manage to look flawless, have a successful career an raise kids etc, those are the people that inspire me most. If I had to choose a youtuber It would by Louise from Sprinkle of Gliiter or the Nic and Sam from Pixiwoo!

10. Favourite beauty product?
My all time favourite beauty product is always a mascara as it opens the eyes.
If having to choose specifically, the one product I will probably use for a very, VERY long time in the Rimmel STAY MATTE powder.

11. What is something you wish you could own, and why?
Wow, this is a very tricky questions. So instead of going all deep and mushy I'll stay with materialistic things.
Makeup wise: I have ALWAYS wanted a bobbi brown creamy concealer!
Skincare wise: Anything from Origins!
Hair wise: I would adore to own  the highest tech hair straightener.
Clothing wise: ANYTHING PRETTY!!!!

I am going to tag:

oooops - I'm back!

Hey Guys!
I haven't posted in quite a while as I have been super busy with school and other commitments...

I'm coming to the end of Year 11 and have tons of assignments and I'm currently doing my end of year exams. So, I've been a very busy bee and wont be posting as much I would like too, I have made a promise to myself to put out at least one post a week!

So, to try and make p for my absence from this blog I'm going to show you all the products I have been loving in the last month!

So, basically these are all relatively ne products that I have been using in the last month or so.

First I want to start off with my favourite product out the six and that is the napoleon perdis crease blender brush. I bought it from Target for $15

I literally use this brush for so much and it is so versatile! It can be used with just one colours to blend all of the lid, a crease brush, if its clean to blend everything AND you could even use this for contouring.

Next I have another massive favourite of mine which is the Simple Radiance brightening eye cream, I can sometimes get quite sensitive skin, especially under my eyes.

The reason I love this product so much is it is also great to use in the morning right before concealer to help blend the concealer seamlessly and acts as a barrier between the make-up. Eye creams will change your life!

My third product is the Rimmel wake me up concealer, a bit cliché? Yeah I guess but it truly is amazing! I wish it came in lighter shades as I LOVE having concealer lighter than my skin tone to highlight under my eyes as this one is a perfect match so great for redness for not necessarily spots.

The shade I have is 010 Ivory.

Next I have a product that is relatively new to Australia as we are always last to get the goodies. It is the Rimmel Salon Pro nail polishes with Lycra. The shade is 705 Reggae Splash.

It is definitely not my usual type of colour and I was hesitant at first but ended up adoring it, and also a massive plus that it has a gel finish, last for up to 10 days and is chip resistant!

My second last product is not a newbie but definitely a favourites, especially since it is now Spring in Australia, although with the heat that we are already having I'm worried for summer.
'

It is the very well know Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain!

The shade I have is 025 sweetheart valentine.

My last favourite is a mascara from Maybelline, it is the One by One volum'express.

This mascara is amazing but to get maximum use out of it your really need to know how to use it!

What have you been loving this last month or so? or what do you love all the time?!?!?!

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer - Review

Hello Everyone!
Last week I started my third term of year 11 and also my last term, although I am super excited I’m almost in my last year of school but one problem that is ongoing is dark circles due to the lack of sleep I have from late nights of study sessions and finishing homework and what not.
So I was on a mission to find a cheap concealer/highlighter, I searched through the whole make-up department in Priceline and couldn’t find one that interested me – until my eyes fell on this…
What is says?
A two in one concealer and highlighter that adapts to your skin tone, the shade I have is 010 Ivory which is also the lightest shade which I found a great match to my skin tone. It also claims to banish signs of fatigue and illuminate the eye area, with an oxygen complex.
*the above picture towards the right of the swatch the concealer has been rubbed in which shows how great a match it is.
I bought this for AUD $13 from K-mart but it can be found anywhere Rimmel is available.
I feel that this product is reasonably good – but not great… Personally on my skin it doesn’t do an amazing job at covering my dark circles and is a light to medium coverage on small spots that aren’t overly red. I was mainly intrigued by the applicator, I’m not even sure as to what it’s called but once using it I realised its nothing to fancy. Even though this shade was a pretty good match for my skin tone it wouldn’t be great for anyone with skin lighter than me, maybe at concealing spots but it definitely wouldn’t do any highlighting.

I probably wouldn’t recommend this product, it had quite a dry formula that wasn’t easy to blend and you had to use pressure for it to rub into the skin which isn’t something you are going to want to be doing to your skin… Tugging at it will eventually promote wrinkles, but with saying that... I will still continue to use this product and just because it doesn't suit my skin as much as other concealers this concealer might be perfect for you!
I would rate this product two and a half maybe three stars.

S.S.secret post no.4

Hello Everyone!
Today's post is going to be my fourth
S.S.secret post -
what is this? Click HERE

As some of my followers may know, I live in Sydney, Australia and at the moment it is winter and quite chilly, In winter my skin switches from being combination/ slightly oily to being more on the dry side. It becomes slightly dehydrated and is super hard to bring it back to its healthy, hydrated glow.

Recently I've discovered a few things that have definitely made a difference to my winter skin.

Firstly, I have some all over body creams, on the left I have my NUSKIN intense body moisturiser. This product comes in quite a nice sized bottle and the cream itself is fragrance free. It's definitely more of a thinner and lighter cream compared to the one on the right.
On the right I have my Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E. It claims that it soften, smoothes and relieves dry skin. It definitely does the job but I'm not too keen on the scent, some people may like it but I am not one of those people. It's quite a thicker product and leaves my hands greasy so I have to thoroughly wash and dry them.

My next two products are a signature body lotion and an epoch mud mask.
The signature body lotion is extremely moisturising and works so well on my legs, elbows and anywhere I slap it on. It feels like a luxurious cream.
Next is the epoch Glacial Marine Mud mask. I love this product, I use it all year around and am truly dreading the day it runs out. Because I have bigger pores I love a mud mask to tighten up and help make the pores smaller. It also makes my face feel as smooth as a baby's bum and doesn't dry my skin out as much as I would expect.

My last four products include a NU SKIN moisture restore intense moisturiser, this product is PERFECT for a night face cream when you're feeling slightly dry and dehydrated. Next I have a Spoilt Rotten Hand Lotion, I love a good Hand moisturiser right before bed so that I wake up with smooth and soft hands. My next product which has definitely been on my blog before is the Michael Todd Moisture Lite non-oily hydrating lotion. This product honestly smells so amazing, whenever I put it on it's like putting a lemon cheesecake all over my face... Not the texture but it sure does smell like it. And I'm a true sucker for anything lemon... Last of all I have the common Lucas Papaw ointent, I love this product for my lips but it can be versatile, I've used it at night whilst on holidays and I've gotten a little sunburnt on the nose or when I nick myself with the hair straightener or hair curler and can't find burn cream. It really heals anything!

This kit is definitely not complete, I've got my eye on a couple more products but I'm just waiting to save up my $$$ and purchase them... 'When I have I'll be sure to update you all on them and give them a full review.

S.S.secret post no.3

Hello Everyone!
Today's post is going to be my second
S.S.secret post -
what is this? Click HERE

Todays post is super exciting, I have a very mini haul from Priceline. Priceline is just your typical drugstore like Boots with everything beauty you could want.

I didn't but too much as I'm a student with basically no income so I can't afford very much. These products were little gifts for myself!

So, above is everything I bought, a lot of it was on sale which was pretty great!
Quickly I'll just mention the batiste dry shampoo... I have a full review here.

My next product is the Rimmel Apocalips lip laquer in Celestial. I wanted a few different shades but so many were sold out... These only just made their way to stores in Australia and we still don't have the full colour range unlike the UK. I'm not too impressed that I couldn't get the shades Luna and Big Bang.

The colour I've picked is a dusty, rose pink shade which I adore, the left is the product swiped and on the right is the product smudged out.

Next we have The Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I love this brush. I'm not sure if its better than my Real Techniques Buffing Brush but it's dam good and It gives my the most flawless base, I use this brush when I want a lighter coverage.

Here I have another product that only just arrived in Australia, the Maybelline Mega Plush mascara in very black. To be extremely honest I don't love this mascara, I like it but definitely don't love it. It hardly gives any volume and a little bit of length. Others may like it as mascara is the type of thing where everyone different. I still like it to use as a first coat as It's waterproof, will probably be saving this mascara for more natural days.

Last of all I have a new nail polish from Rimmel (Rimmel had everything half price!) a 60 seconds nail polish in instyle coral. I love this shade, its extrememly beautiful and definitely a Tasma colour!

What nail polish colour would you be??

Manicure Monday #7

Hello Everyone!
It's Manicure Monday again - what is it?
Click HERE

For todays weekly nail I haven't got a new polish but instead I've decided to do a post on a couple nail looks that I'm currently obsessed with and they're all from a lovely website called Bellashoot

The first nail style I am loving at the moment is glossy block colours, especially pink (and I love a little bit of green...) The post below can be found alongside some other lovely nail ideas here.

The next nail trend would be nail art! I'm definitely not a nail artist but my sister is pretty good, whenever I need a little bit of nail jazzing I ask her. To find more pic's like this one click on this.

The picture below would have to be one of my go-to nails, except I would prefer a warm toned colour and a bit of glitter where the blue is placed. Find this here.

Last but not least, I cant turn away a baby pink with some beautiful rainbow colours sprinkled throughout. This is honestly too lovely to even talk about... But I guess I should tell you where to find more of this??? here.

S.S.secret post no.2

Hello Everyone!
Today's post is going to be my second
S.S.secret post -
what is this? Click HERE

Todays topic will be TONER!

What is toner?

Typically know as a lotion that is designed to cleanse the skin and remove anything left over after cleansing, it also is meant to shrink the appearance of pores. Toner is the product that everyone knows as the product you use after cleansing but before moisturising.

How do I apply it?

Using a make-up remover pad to wipe over the face usually in the t-zone area but can be place all over the face.
Another option is to spray it onto the face if the product has that option.

What types of toners are there?

Skin Bracers or fresheners - These are the mildest from of toners and contain virtually no alcohol but have water and glycerine. Glycerine helps to keep the moisture in the upper layers of the epidermis. For example rosewater toners would fall into this bracket. If you have dry/dehydrated, sensitive or normal skin then this toner would be ideal.
The higher end product can be bought - here

The cheaper product can be found - here

Skin tonics -  Are slightly stronger and have a small amount of alcohol, water and another ingredient to keep the moisture in the upper layers on the skin. Orange flower water would be an example for this and is recommended to people with skin that's normal, combination and oily.

The expensive choice - here

The cheaper product - here

Astringents - Are the strongest type of toner and have a lot of alcohol, antiseptics, water and as always an ingredient to lock moisture into the skin. People who have oily skin are perfect for this product as these toners are drying to the skin.

FIT ME! - Maybelline Products

Hello Everyone!

How is everyone? Lately I've been seeing a lot of advertising on Maybelline's FIT me products. I have had these products for quite a while and haven't used them for at least a month so I've decided to give them a try again to see how they felt. Except for the concealer, I've always loved and used it but am definitely in the market for something even better, suggestions would be appreciated!

So lets dive in, the colour I have in 210 sandy beige is definitely too dark for me at the moment as I bought this specifically for my face when its tan, It's quite a sheer and lightweight foundation that I would recommend for people who like a lighter coverage or its the season of Summer.

Personally, I would say that this foundation would be preferred by people without acne scaring or any acne as it has a bit of shimmer in it which may look as if they have more pimples than it really does. Although, after saying this the shimmer can easily be taken away with the powder, so don't worry too much! But it's definitely not a matte foundation.

The powder isn't my favourite powder but it does the job, there are also 12 shades but I have the colour 220 natural beige, I think I would have preferred to get the lightest colour and use it as a more of a translucent powder. It does the job of stopping oil coming through but rubs off quicker than most powders especially on the T-zone. The casing is pretty great, as you open it the powder is shown but then you can flip that part over to show a pretty reasonable sized mirror and powder puff.

When it comes to concealer there are 6 shades, I have the shade 10 Light, which is the lightest shade but really, it isn't that light especially since I haven't got very fair skin. It's a pretty great concealer in all honestly but its definitely probably not the best for people with lighter skin as they would need a light colour to brighten the eyes! For the moment it's probably a good match to my skin but I'd love to get one in a lighter shade to brighten underneath my eyes.

The FITme range also include a blush and bronzer but I don't own these.
I would love to hear any feedback on this post?
